Not when it comes to a few things, and section one is definitely one of those things. The union is us, and there is no way my base rep would be on board with any kind of relief that we haven't already given.
Besides, I know at least in my seniority and lower, a lot of trust has been burned over the last few years of negotiations and then union buffoonery. I am happy with the representation I get, but they aren't some sort of infallible wizard.

I would like to think the pilot group would promptly pick up the pitchforks if SWAPA wanted to give on our scope protections. I know I’d be helping to hand them out asap if such was the case.

United has come out publicly in an 8-K -

“It has come to the Company's attention that there may be rumors spreading among certain of our investors regarding United's involvement in a potential strategic transaction with another airline. The Company is not in negotiations or discussions with any other airline regarding a merger, acquisition or similar strategic transaction and has not been in any recent discussions with any airlines regarding the same. As indicated by United's strong earnings results and outlook provided on January 21, 2025, the Company has great momentum and a bright future ahead.”

Meanwhile, SWA has said nothing about the rumors that have been circulating for two weeks regarding potential M&A activity with JetBlue, Breeze or even Delta.

I was just trying to provide context. JBLU stock price started accelerating when the first tweet was posted and UAL was lagging. I think the SEC filing was necessary since it moved the stocks a bit.

We are actually going to merge with American and Delta. Then they are going to reopen the A380 line for us!! I think the reason people are hoping for a merger is they know this management is going to sink this ship unless something changes. A merger will only work when you have new management that can institute those changes.
