EXTO? Maybe for ground ops. They won't offer more than maybe a month or two off via LOA for us, which is exactly what they used to do in the 2010s during slow times. They have already admitted EXTO was a pain because of the training footprint it created.
Yes, they already admitted they are cutting the schedule but he schedule in place was depending on aircraft deliveries. Seems like they can at least maintain current capacity with some creative maintenance practices.

Then all they need to do is offer ExTO with a requirement to come to dallas to maintain landing currency...that's what United did and in my opinion one of the biggest mistakes SWA made during covid...allowing all those on ExTO to lose currency.

They can’t do anything without SWAPA approval.

It has been that way for awhile.

I was chastised for hand flying the sim "too much" in newhire training.

isn't he the clown who blamed the meltdown on pilot sick calls?

ExTO saved the company over a Billion dollars.

It turned into a pain because they waited too long to bring people back, and when they did..... they realized they had less than 100 instructors in the sim building.

EXTO saved the company a billion dollars because the Feds paid for it. It would be counter-productive to exto pilots for a month or two, which is what they need to do. They will offer no pay leave of absences. Mark my words.
