No disrespect mate, but it’s the world we live in.
JFW!!

Probably from the same class of person that would low key “black-ball” someone just because.

Dont know if that’s still a thing at WN or not.

To the OP, hats off to you brother, I’m familiar with XJT. Glad you made it this far. You’ve certainly paid your dues.

I completely agree with Whack, delete that account and get a different email account and another APC account too. Good solid advice.

The negative recommendation is definitely still a thing. I am personally glad it is. If you have 5 glowing recommendations and 1 negative one, they aren't going to throw your application in the trash. The recs don't even come in to play until after the interview. They will call the person, though, and get a thorough explanation of why they are negative recommending someone.
This is a surprisingly small profession, and your garbage follows you around wherever you go. There are definitely people from my previous life that I wouldn't ever care to work with again nor would I subject others to them.

Agree- to a certain point. I think we’ve all flown with that “special” one or three. But you have to admit that it could be weaponized in the wrong way.

Also agree that it is a very small world in the pilot business. People should take care how they treat each other. Today’s “prince of the prom” could easily become tomorrow’s “toad”.

At any rate, I remember when I was enthusiastic and had dreams like this guy. I hope he gets it.

Haha. Yeah same. It's nice to see fresh faces around who are happy to be here. Towards the end of the last boom, I definitely saw a more salty brand of entitled FO, still in the minority, but definitely present.

Even though I'm still young here, it's great to see some fresh energy coming. Also agreed on deleting your profile and starting fresh as an anonymous person. It's just not worth it to be ID'd on this forum. 99%+ are actually great people, but you never know the weirdness that could come from having your name on anything here.

I hope you get a CJO and I'm sure you will. Welcome aboard to you and the others coming in! This is actually a great place and the compensation and quality of life is amazing.

Have read 2025 class dates are full. I’m assuming those with upcoming interviews will be for class dates after the first of the year?

Ugh. My class date was in January and it will haunt me for my entire career. Absolutely take any 2025 class date that becomes an option. No excuses. You’ll be very thankful later.

All we know based on rumors, maps of domicile pilot shifts that make no sense, actions of managers in training dept, and SWAPA blog entries is that there will be a new domicile and there will be hiring.

However, no official class dates have been announced for 2026. If you're waiting for a class or asked at an interview...tell them you'll take the first one.

Buddy of mine could’ve been in class with me at the end of the year. Had a trip planned so went with the first class in Jan. Missed profit sharing our first year, and now he just missed his 4th week of VA.
