I thought there was nothing to conceal here too, until Spirit captured several hundred pages of threads and posts from here and entered them in as evidence of an illegal work action. Even though I had not advocated for or participated in any illegal work action, every post I had made in threads where such things *were* alleged to have occurred was in that stack of evidence. Had things gone differently, there could have been further discovery that could lead to individuals being named instead of the pilot group as a whole. The union wouldn't be able to defend that so if my name had come up I'd be paying legal fees out of pocket just to prove I didn't do anything.

That's just one example. Others include the fact that SWA has a few pilots who routinely submit screenshots to HR/ER to try to get other pilots fired. Again, you may not actually DO anything wrong but if you're caught in the frag pattern you could at a minimum get "permanent" ER paperwork even if you're completely cleared of all accusations. Even "anonymous" accounts can be traced to individuals through the magic of router and server logs and the patriot act (don't ask, it's a long story you don't want to read). There's no such thing as real anonymous activity online. The best you can do is make it difficult enough to track you that they move on to another easier target. Um. Like you actually.

So... I suggest you make another anonymous account and don't do what you just did. There are people who are going to be targeting you in any online environment including union run forums, so don't make it easy.

 

way back in the day i got hired by allegiant and they gave me a class date right over when I was getting married. I asked if I could go home for the weekend to get married. Had to talk to CP. He said no and said I should move my wedding. I told him its been planned for over a yr and such. He said no again.
I never made it to class, told him thanks but no thanks.
In my mind I didn't want to work for a company that was that inflexible and didn't care.
that doesn't happen at SW

Second this. I know the names of a few posters here, but only through acquaintances and mild stalking. They know me as well.
Assume whatever you post here is seen by a manager and you will be fine. There are people out there looking for someone to turn in to the CPO or employee relations, though.

Also, look no further than the recent internet political influencer that just went on a social media crusade with the help of fellow pilots to act as the thought police and turn people in as the VPotus directed. You don't want your name out there if possible and definitely don't want to say anything no matter how innocent that could be construed the wrong way.

 

Like others have said , cancel this account and start a new one.

Yeah maybe I was alittle excited this morning when I posted that. Anyone that knows me knows im an open book however, wise advice to just stay underground.

With that out the way, I guess I didnt realize how bad I wanted a job (not saying I haven't wanted jobs in the past) but after about 15 minutes I was like, man I really really want to be here.

Finally in the presentation someone explained how pay works 😂😂😂. Holy moly, you guys are well compensated. I didnt realize SWA still gets to line bid!

No expense has been spare on HQ. I was blown away at HQ 1.0 and 2.0...Joke is there's plans to expand out to HQ 5.0 😅

I appreciate anyone that's taken the time to PM me and give career advice on these forums. I will take each advice here and be signing off for good as 3xDEC.

To anyone that is reading this that wants to be at SWA; have your stuff together, look the part, and please please just be yourself. I don't think an interview prep is warranted. They stressed wanting authenticity!

I would say nothing has changed. They know we can all fly airplanes. I think what they are looking for is people that embrace the culture. I was blown away at the facilities. I did my 767 PIC Type at Delta (K4 was buying sim time back in 2018) and at that time I thought Delta was wonderful. Maybe im just all giddy about today's experience, but nothings touching what I witnessed. At this point its SWA or bust 😇.

Now i understand why guys have been willing to do this interview 4x if necessary. Ill come back next week and do it again if they asked lol...
