Hopefully this unwinds some of the west coast displacements but this does nothing to help Denver folks. A new base will also have some drawdowns of pilots to cover the flying. Only so many new hires flowing in per month for the initial start. We saw this when BNA opened. These displacements will be here for a while and we absolutely need to prioritize guardrails to counter the companies ability to displace people on a whim when the staffing is shifting in the schedule every day and month.

Sounds like b.s. excuses to me.

All these ‘promises’ of fixing displacements that never should have happened.

Nope. Just can’t fly a leg after..and need 15 hrs rest if you cross 0300 local base time.

They shouldn’t have happened but least gives an idea why they did. Company rushed RE in response to EMG demanding more revenue. What we got is what they came up with…2 leg 3 days that end with a RE staffed from the east coast with planes that WERE overnighting out west…with the head planning clown saying that we staff based on RON planes.

We’ll see how this new base rollout goes…

They’re sending out emails to get people in sooner but that’s all I’ve seen. What’s the full rumor?

Flew with a pilot interviewer two weeks ago, and interviews/hiring plans were full speed ahead, but things can change on a dime so who knows?
