Anyone who wanted to leave DEN would’ve done it already. Might get 10-20 to bid out voluntarily but that’s 80-90 kicked out and they’ll displace the same number who’ll displace around the same number. They’re also shrinking PHX and OAK and those guys don’t want to bid east or they’d have done it already. AUS is prob the worst place they could’ve chosen for a base in re:fixing west coast displacements.
If I was a jr FO living on the west coast I’d have my apps out….

Just shy of 300 displaced now. I’m guessing another 200+ for March alone. They never said how they planned on staffing AUS from April-June…displacements or upgrades/new hires?

Confirm/Execute is stupid but I can do it. Getting speed, heading, climb/descent in rapid succession in the terminal area initiates a dump truck load of BS talking. Now I’m trying to hear ATC over the guy in the other seat giving his long-winded AT speech about things that are already behind us. 🤦🏻♂️

So if the hole is BWI and DEN needs to shrink…a DEN guy would prefer LAS which kicks a LAS guy to LAX which kicks a LAX guy to MDW or wherever..until the most junior person without a seat fills the hole. PHX and OAK are also shrinking…my guess is jr people in western bases should read up on displacement and reserve language.
I’m guessing summer ‘15 is plug for DEN CA and early ‘23 for DEN FO.

You go where you can hold. Say AUS is staffed 100% with volunteers. The vacancies created by HOU/DAL draining are filled by whoever wants that (FO’s stuck in BWI/MCO since they were hired maybe). Company says DEN/PHX/OAK are too big so when the music stops, they’re cutting spots in those bases. Now we “could” go to BWI, or MCO or where the hole is and make it simple…but we’re allowed to displace someone jr to us.
