However if SWA requires a login with a RR number, similar to AA requiring your AAdvantage number, that can absolutely be sorted. You could use a VPN but it's trivial to sort by flight who used that login on what flight and by process of elimination, one person will be left after doing it over say a dozen flights.

Will anything come of it? Absolutely not unless there is an incident, you hit something on the ground after landing, who cares, your device will be looked at and records will be pulled. This has happened to 121 crews in the past and licenses were suspended for weeks/months because of it. Worst case you get fired like the AA F/O in JFK.

Fo the CA's who are playing dumb, just an FYI but I personally spoke to another CA whose FO posted an inflight pic on FB, took it down within 30 minutes, and the FAA still found it. FAA came after the CA, luckily nothing ended up happening but it caused a lot of heartache.
As if this an FO only problem lol. I have seen some left seat **** that would blow the public’s mind at every airline I’ve worked for. Give me a break.

I guarantee you that never happened.

This isn’t how it works in modern iOS…the MAC does change but not enough to prevent tracking. It’s highly likely your MAC is the same for weeks unless you take measures to force it to change.

OMG! Is this what people wory about at night that keep them up? I remember when I was new cpts told me to put tape over the camera, and then they'd chastise me about reading books on my ipad.
are people so bad at being pilots they need to worry about the straw that breaks their backs?
JFC do your job and do it well and read book at cruise. Its literally not that hard.

Yep. Don’t be stupid and you will be fine. The people that have been invited to meetings over WiFi issues have all done dumb stuff like bidding on trips and literally every offender has been ratted out by a fellow pilot. WiFi is an issue that nobody wants to peek behind the curtain on. Trust me.

I don’t care one bit about anyone else does with their free time in cruise, but honestly, while working is one of those times that I enjoy not being online. I can finally have my own thoughts back, let the mind relax, read a book, plan my next move in life. And for those that hypothetically do get online, just be smart and be willing to accept the consequences if there is an accident on your flight and your phone is subpoened. And for those that tape their cameras and put tin foil around their heads, well, you be you.

All the camera tapers are gonna have a bad time when the new iPads require facial recognition to sign stuff eventually haha.

Player, “I bid on that PBR trip while draining the snake during cruise”

LUV CP, “Oh really. You got three arms and hands or you just **** all over the seat like an animal? That 700 hasn’t had a working seat magnet since 2004. We track that stuff you know.”

The old story I heard which was alluded to above is people get called in when somebody got butthurt about a premium award. They do the research and see that the bid opened and closed while the awardee was flying. Pilots will rat out other pilots over greed and go right to the company instead of Pro Standards.
