SWA ATN sli

Having said that keep in mind that contracts are short term. Airtran might very well have reached better contracts in the future and SW may well see a cut in pay in future contracts. No one knows for sure exactly what the next 10 years holds in this industry. Seniority however is a absolute. If the list is voted in you live with it for the rest of your career. Make sure its a list you are comfortable living with.
Careful what you ask for. I think that's the warning.

Merger announce in late September 2010, the TA with the Airtran MEC was late October 2010 about a month later.
The Scope language in effect for the merger was from the NPA contract. The attorney for the NPA was.......
wait for it......
wait for it........
wait for it.....
The DPA attorney.

Hmmmmm. I do believe you were just caught telling 'pork pies'.
My understanding is that the Scope section was significantly different from the NPA contract. It was waved around as a victory for ALPA in fact.
The Scope section in place for the merger was the new one. The new Section 1 from the new contract.
The NPA Attorney was LB. She was allowed to "move on to better opportunities" ...... If you know what I mean.
From what I know, your post is completely wrong. I'm going to check for you though.

Apparently it was a pretty concessionary deal-only agreed to because the sw deal was on the way. Had sw not happened, the deal would more than likely been much, much closer to the sw contract. Believe it or not, AT would have made contractual gains over the next ten years without sw buying and stapling most of them.

The NMB told us they would not release us because of the SWA deal. We were on the cusp of release into the 30 day cooling off period prior to SWA. It was our only leverage.
AirTran management snickered into their hands and said "where's your leverage now" ?
Do you really think you know more about this than the people who lived it
? I'm betting your answer is "Yes".
