Nice to see the Delta Bubba's looking out for their AirTran counterparts. Makes me want to break into a chorus of "We are the World."

No. But I'm looking for an answer from someone who doesn't lie to protect ALPA. So you can go away now.

Make sure its a list you are comfortable living with.
I think this is spot on here.

Careful what you ask for. I think that's the warning.

Nah. Haven't you been listening to alfaromeo? Seniority is ALWAYS negotiable after the fact.

The DPA attorney.

Hmmmmm. I do believe you were just caught telling 'pork pies'.

My understanding is that the Scope section was significantly different from the NPA contract. It was waved around as a victory for ALPA in fact.

The Scope section in place for the merger was the new one. The new Section 1 from the new contract.

The NPA Attorney was LB. She was allowed to "move on to better opportunities" ...... If you know what I mean.

From what I know, your post is completely wrong. I'm going to check for you though.

Are you for real? What was the incentive to take a sub par contract? Any gains made by AT would have only helped them in an arbitration not hurt them. If AT could have gained a SWA type contract on their own they would be standing on an equal bargaining spot, not to mention that if the deal fell through they would now have an industry leading contract they just negotiated on their own and jumped from near the bottom to near the top in pay and benefits. What in the world would have stopped them from negotiating that deal even though SWA was knocking on the door with a potential purchase offer.

The NMB told us they would not release us because of the SWA deal. We were on the cusp of release into the 30 day cooling off period prior to SWA. It was our only leverage.

AirTran management snickered into their hands and said "where's your leverage now" ?

Do you really think you know more about this than the people who lived it
? I'm betting your answer is "Yes".
