You are killing me Noel.

Not sure who this Noel is you speak of... but I am in fact happy that we had a reasonable SLI... i.e., most held the same seat day before and day after the SLI... makes for a much more pleasant cockpit. Plus, it was the right thing to do... and don't forget, Jesus was a socialist.

P.s., It would be great if one could express one's opinion in a civil manner, without the use of personal attacks... just a dream of mine.

All the best to you & yours as well.

Yeah, more appropriately, your CEO threatened us with our jobs after our MEC sent back what was the POS that was AIP1 after a vocal part of our pilot group was so incensed by it that we demanded it be sent back w/o a vote.

So don't tell me that it was management alone that is the cause of this. If you thought we were getting the shaft then you should have voted NO, but you didn't. Neither did 86% (myself not included) of our group since they felt like their jobs were on the line if we rejected the second "offer".

Just admit it. The only way the YES vote would have been higher on your side is if it was a pure staple job instead of the partial staple that we received. You're fooling NO ONE.

Why do I think you hated it? Well let me just call it experience with your type. 98% strike vote? You voted your own union off the property only to get hosed by ALPA.

Why are you coming to SWA? The truth is you got nowhere else to go. To paraphrase "An Office and Gentleman." As far as being a PIA, SWA is not afraid to show tough LUV.

SWA is as close to bullet proof as I've seen.

Welcome aboard!!!
I'm not sure what you're implying, but if it's that I'm a scab you literally couldn't be further from the truth. Literally.

Why don't you check with your fellow SWA pilots who claim to know who I am and you'll see that my background is very pro union.

"SWA is as close to bullet proof as I've seen."

As for your quote above........well, I think that sums things up pretty well.

You forgot one little detail. The bed that was made by "management" also had the help of a union that covienently looked the other way......

I voted yes because I thought a yes vote was the lesser of two evils. I am well aware that our junior pilots are looking at longer upgrades and displacements from the east. I am also aware that Airtran lost relative seniority. My apologies for leaving out the remaining evils committed by both sides. The fact still remains that we will now be one list.

Exactly how are your junior pilots looking at longer upgrades? You guys were stagnant on growth before you bought us, so they were looking at an indefinite upgrade. We had 50 orders coming and 138 jets in the fleet.

At the very least you got ALL of our 737 Cptn seats for your upgrades (over 300), and with the early departure of the 717s several hundred more. So basically you got about 75% of our Cptn seats and stapled 50% of our F/Os.

What kind of "evils" exactly has the AAI side committed? Surely you're not talking about our senior downgrades coming into bases as F/Os and bumping SWA F/Os down in bidding are you? I love hearing the stories about your F/Os being ****ed because that's happening. Well, IF WE WOULD HAVE JUST KEPT OUR SEATS IT WOULDN'T BE HAPPENING, but now that it is it's the least we can do for ya!

Not exactly. SWAPA didn't just "look away". They formulated the plan WITH management. It's pretty evident that that's exactly what happened. THEN they looked away as SWA management came in and executed the plan.

You don't suppose AT ALPA stonewalling had anything to do with the second offer?

Stonewalling? I'm not sure where you got that impression, but just to clear things up the first "offer" was so insulting that we bombarded our union with phone calls, emails, etc. asking them to shove it right back across the table.

It seems that you (and your F/As especially for some reason, but whatever....) have this impression that our leadership went rogue and just decided to send the first offer back w/o us voting on it. They were only doing what the majority of the membership who made their voice heard was asking them to do, not "stonewalling".
