SWA to open ATL Base

Sorry, "real" SWA pilots, but WM is absolutely right. He does speak what most AirTran pilots think. I can't remember the last trip I flew with someone who wasn't absolutely ****ed off about this whole deal. He's not a crazy fringe guy (on this topic, anyway
). He's just speaking what most guys think but don't say for fear of being targeted by the CULTure nazis.

You are imagining that you're more important to me than you really are. Besides, you're answering someone else's post. I think everyone at SWA already knows who PCL is.
But if you're running scared that you'll have to actually stand up for what you say, well, that's OK with me.

This is America. Sometimes big fish eat little fish. It's called capitalism. If everything was perfectly "fair" in business, it wouldn't be business. Point is, all of us (AT and SWA pilots) could have it a lot worse. We should be thankful we are employed and flying making a more than adequate wage to support our families. I knew when I got hired that every AT guy, across the partition or not, was going to be senior to me. I have 32 pilots below me in seniority post SL10, and I feel fortunate to be here. The griping and banter on both sides is childish and isn't going to change a damn thing. Life isn't fair...everyone needs to get over it and move forward for the sake of OUR future. Isn't that what we should be focusing our time and energy on?

Airline pilots NEVER get over it because seniority is forever. We have guys at my place who are still bitter over an SLI from 1987.

1. I responded to PCL, 2. you responded to me thinking that I was talking to you, 3. I responded that your inflated sense of self importance makes you think that it's all about you. Don't get all "Fatal Attraction" on me when I respond to someone else!
You're the one running circles around yourself unless you're secretly PCL and you just forgot to change screen names before responding. In which case, do a better job of covering your tracks.

I neither need nor fear a face to face, but that's not the direction I was trying to steer this discussion. I just always think it's great advice to NEVER assume that what you write on the internet is either a. anonymous or b. without consequences.

Just sayin', because the FAT adgitators always seem to be taking our own informal poll of where the FAT state of mind is. I think there might be a little bit of selection bias in your data. I seem to always collect way different opinions. Hmmm, I wonder why that might be?
