Southwest hiring info

So I just looked at the application again… There is a text box below the check to explain yourself. I can't imagine they would think I'm arbitrarily checking things if I put an explanation in that box.
The Duke might be right tho. Hmmmm.

I just don't want you to get passed over because of something like this. I would email or call the People Dept and get clarification. Just my thoughts.

When I had a question, I used the contact email on the pilotcredentials site under "Contact Us". The [email protected] got a quick and helpful response. I believe the @wnco part means it is an actual SWA employee...

Hey all, I just got back from my interview and wanted to share what I heard from the pilot hiring manager:
- expecting 288 hired from now until the end of the year.
- 72 firm hires next year, but "expecting to put 400 on top of that"
- They are seeing about 100 pilots per year who "retire" or otherwise quit working due to medical or other reasons. With the math we did, it's probably at least a 10 year upgrade FWIW
- Interview gouge is spot on, very laid back and friendly.
- They do indeed do a decision board once per month. Every interviewer is literally just taking notes/making recommendations to the decision board. From there, all the Chief Pilots fly in and sit in a room and sift through everyone that interviewed in the last month, and then call you if you made the cut.
- After that, you still have to drug test and "a few other things" whatever that means.
- I was in the first round of interviewing from this last window and they said if hired we would be in a 22 July class. Hope this helps.
At the interview there was six of us. All Mil except one and I think we all had the type. Things moved quickly so I didn't get to ask.
Good luck to all of you guys/gals!
