Now that's interesting considering the source.

Every airline has dirty laundry.

Every.

Even you GOD's at AirTran.

SWA is no better than anyone else.

But like I wrote -

You fukcers keep calling us out, you should expect the same in return.

Welcome aboard.
Precisely. Every airline does have dirty laundry, but the rate at which it piles up at SWA is mind-boggling, and once a person gets to experience life on the line for a bit, it becomes readily apparent why that is so (at least for us that have the perspective that prior 121 experience brings).

Why don't you two take your ball and go play somewhere else.

This isn't the thread for your "conversation". Oh, and maybe delete your irrelevant posts on your way out.

For a new hire to think they are walking into Herb's airline would be a huge mistake. YMMV.

That's fine. Start a new thread where you can warn prospective new hires about how things used to be or one that debates who has the better pilots, AirTran or Southwest.

Let's keep this thread on topic.

Many of these forums are extremely helpful about the technical side of interviews from gouge to travel to expectations to paperwork. It certainly helped me. But equally important is what you are getting into long term. Don't know or care who has better pilots and suspect no major has any bragging rights on that. But predominant culture, SLI impacts, reserve and new hire base realities, and progression possibilities are big issues as more folks have a choice of more than one opportunity. Not saying you can know or pick the right airline but you can avoid the wrong one for you and your family. Culture is destiny. Disclaimer: SWA turned me down the first time, I turned them down the second.

Based on the movement over the past few months, a new hire could hold HOU, Dallas, MDW, or BWI in as little as 2 months but 3 is more likely.

However, that was with at least 1 new hire class per month coming on line. My guess is most guys in the June 12'th class will be able to hold all of the bases listed above. The rest of the 84 will likely be stuck in OAK, LAS, and PHX until hiring starts up again, which may happen fairly quickly depending on who you talk to.

Any rumors of additional interviews or a new window opening up?
