That's really weird. The day I hit 1000 PIC I submitted my app and got the email the next day. Not a check airman or anything fancy but I do have the type.

Timing is everything. It's as if the computer was there just waiting for your application!

It must be my density...err destiny. Seriously though have you checked your availability date and medical info? Kept flight times all updated? Can't think of any other reason you wouldn't have been called by now.

A buddy of mine was never called. Finally had me review his pilot credentials app and he failed to RTFQ on one of them! Very clearly knocked him out of contention. (Face palm!) As soon as he fixed it he got a call a week later.

Read, re-read, then have someone else read those apps guys!

Default Did Southwest close its hiring window?

Every time I try to apply online I get an error message. When I search the jobs there are no pilot positions listed.

It's the fact that I am not currently flying full-time for my day job. I am working all kinds of crazy hours to fly part-time during my off hours to get turbine time and CFI time, which has to count for something.

However, as Zap suggested, I am going to go back a re-read every Q on the app again as you just never know what you might be missing out on.

Hey folks,

New to the forum. The info here is a bit overwhelming. I've read 60+ pages of this thread but don't have a definitive answer to my question so I'll just ask everyone's opion of my chances at SWA.
Quals:
7800TT
3480TPIC
5 types
Tons of international/oceanic experience
Chief Pilot
Check Airman
No 73 type
And the deal killer... No 4 year. 62 credits at Embry Riddle. Had to stop the pursuit of the degree when I took the CP position
Clean record otherwise...

Does anyone have an opinion of my chances?
1 job fair so far. Plan to hit each one until they tell me to go away.
