New Karbon jacket thoughts?

Dated and uncomfortable. Time to move on. Even IBM and the FBI, long holdouts of the black suit era, have evolved. The Navy, from whence I came, doesn't drive their ships in dress blues. Why do we? Fashion and materials have evolved in the last 100 years.
And the hat? Give me a break.
The whole "I am a professional pilot and demand respect" thing is eye rolling cringey. Sorry guys, but it just is. In today's world, at least in the US, that just doesn't work anymore.
I am all for maintaining a professional, clean, neat appearance. I am also all about being comfortable in the Boeing torture chamber for 8-10 hours a day. I choose comfort over tradition any day.
A nice, comfortable pair of slacks, a comfortable blended button down shirt, some loafers or other nice shoes. Once again, part 91 professional aviation leads the way.

I'll tell you what is eye rolling cringy is a guy in his SWA leather jacket walking around with a cloth name tag and an F-16 silhouette with the callsign "SHOOTER" on it. Still cringy, but maybe less so is the whole "Murica" American flag print tie.

Yeah I'm sorry, I gotta agree.

From: DOWNGRADE COMPLETE: Thanks Gary. Thanks SWAPA.
Agreed. The leather jacket looks like a giant bird took a **** on you and now you’re wearing it as an article of clothing. Very cringeworthy.

Yes. I agree. I did my time at the Luke retirement home as a new hire. Some of those guys can't let it go.
I think the leather jacket looks ok. I sold mine and bought the Karbon one because it was too heavy. Karbon I can stick in my bag easily and it can be worn as an outer shell if going out on cold overnights without looking TOO obvious.
I wear "the minimum" which is to say the striped tie, short sleeve white shirt, and black pants. Underwear optional.

Haggar Cool 18 black. Flat front for the nerds like me, pleats for the cool kids.
They match the color almost exactly and are super cool and comfy(er).
I am still mostly wearing my Hammer pants, but I just lost a toddler worth of weight, so I am getting ready to buy some of the Haggars once I get to where I plan on staying weight wise. I have heard the best deal is at Kohl's with their 20 percent off coupon that you can supposedly find online.
