Mine just pulled open. The inside of it is slightly adhesive, I assume to hold a card or id tag.
I ordered a bunch of stickers with my name and phone number to put on all my stuff that I lose on a regular basis and I just put one in there.

The Karbon aviator jacket will go better with the ear buds as the pilots roll through the terminal on their heely shoes chewing bubble gum and their hats / covers on backwards.
Oh wait, never mind, no one wears the complete uniform with hat ... strike that part.

Has anyone considered the possibility that the lightweight jacket now, and the leather jacket preceding it have been a part of a long term plan to devalue the airline pilot position in the eyes of the general public and each other? To go from being a respected professional to the equivalent of a bus driver or service provider to lower expectations?
The fact is that appearances matter. Right or wrong people make assessments of you based on your appearance every day.
Look at a former Pan Am uniform, a Delta uniform etc. The hat, the blazer, it instantly says "airline pilot". Crisp. Professional. Quasi-military. It instills confidence and pride.
The lightweight jacket looks like something a delivery guy might wear.
I'm not trying to be a black helicopter guy, but I lament the slow death of the traditional airline pilot uniform because I do feel as though it meant something.
That said I would happily ditch the tie.

I think all 3 look ok.
Now, if we could somehow get the 60 plus crowd to move away from the white, short sleeved 60’s NASA engineer shirt and to something a little more functional and comfortable (but still ultra professional for you, whack), it would be the biggest QOL hike since they installed the cockpit door.
Military aviators don’t fly in business suits with epaulettes, and yet the public seems to have respect for them.
Lots of corporate guys wear slacks and a polo. I have never seen them being scoffed at in the FBO.

Dated and uncomfortable. Time to move on. Even IBM and the FBI, long holdouts of the black suit era, have evolved. The Navy, from whence I came, doesn't drive their ships in dress blues. Why do we? Fashion and materials have evolved in the last 100 years.
And the hat? Give me a break.
The whole "I am a professional pilot and demand respect" thing is eye rolling cringey. Sorry guys, but it just is. In today's world, at least in the US, that just doesn't work anymore.
I am all for maintaining a professional, clean, neat appearance. I am also all about being comfortable in the Boeing torture chamber for 8-10 hours a day. I choose comfort over tradition any day.
A nice, comfortable pair of slacks, a comfortable blended button down shirt, some loafers or other nice shoes. Once again, part 91 professional aviation leads the way.
