Recruitment Event

Ok that came across a little harsh, I meant to say is there a bonus to going to multiple career fairs, I was under the impression that there was no "application points" involved with Southwest career fairs. So once you went once and got all your questions answered and your resume/app reviewed you would be good to go with just one fair.

The other has to do with something the SWA Pilot Credentials homepage said prior to the registration window opening. I may be slightly paraphrasing but it said something like, "Those attendees who meet the minimum requirements may be invited to continue in the application process."
Obviously that's vague but it kind of, sort of, almost, maybe sounds like they intend to offer interview invites to attendees they really like at this thing. But that may just be me getting my hopes up.

I went in September and was offered an interview two weeks later. Also of note everyone I know that went in September and met minimums with no skeletons have been offered an interview. I would imagine the results will be much the same this time around. People are getting interview without attending, but I feel it was the key to my interview.

For those that didn't get the ticket after spending hours refreshing the screen, I feel your pain. My wife and I did the same exact thing for the in house fair last September. She couldn't believe this nonsense. Being a CPA, she finds work very easily. 2 weeks after this major disappoint I received an interview invite, without ever going to a job fair of any kind.
It seems they really like to see you have the "Line Check Airman" box checked. I'd say most, if not all of the civilian guys in my class had this box checked.
Good luck to all.

For me its this. I meet all of their requirements and more. I had a really warm fuzzy feeling with everyone and everything that went on that day.
From my talks with the "recruiter" one on one, he said, "You'll more than likely be getting a phone call after this event so be ready."
I was pumped. A few weeks later, I got the TBNT email. I was pretty let down. Now, Im not sure if they said that type of thing to everyone there, but they had me convinced I was competitive and being considered.
This time, Im going on a fact finding mission. Im going to figure out why my previous 6 application submissions have 2 different statuses. (Submission received, Closed complete) My two latest are received, an older one is complete, one before that is received, and the one before that is closed.
Im not going in as a bright eyed bushy tailed hopeful. I was reserved before as were many, but this time, Im going to ask some questions.

Like others have said as well, I meet and exceed the minimums and have applied to every window. I'm a pretty normal human to fly with - no ego, happy to be there, and really want to be with SWA for a variety of reasons. All of that said, I never heard a peep after the September event. The recruiter I spoke with was very cordial and we discussed a familiar school as well as the performance of the stock in the company I fly for. His take was I looked just fine and to await a call. I was disappointed I couldn't make April's event, but that's corporate. Anyway, I'll continue to wait!

I think everyone got that email when they purge and then open a new window. Not sure the difference on received and closed complete mean though?
