Thats a good one
This made me chuckle. At least it didnt happen at a busy airport. But everybody has done it, checked for an open gate on guard, called departure while still on tower frequ. and so on. I thanked everybody for flying Southwest while on Albuquerque center. I got some good feedback on guard and laughed about it😃

My personal favorite FO experience that I'd like to not do again, involves reading back half a taxi clearance at one of the busiest hubs on the east coast, then without even a glance at the CA for help, blurting out... "then left on... uhhh could you repeat the rest?" Horrified. I still get nightmares

Imagine having flown a single seat fighter for 20+ years, then making your first PA. I think I’ve done it all...PA on intercom, started one on center freq, made one on the service inter phone, called down to ops on guard, then called it again because they didn’t answer...it goes on from there. I’m on month three and just now feel like I’m getting the hang of those things. I still practice it all in my head before keying the mic. It’s amazing how this giant bubble of all knowing SA I used to have instantly shrunk down to soda straw vision with the addition of another pilot, an auto-pilot, and a cabin full of helpless passengers. Talking to most of my classmates, they’ve all done the same...I just feel like the hole I’m climbing out of was just a bit deeper than the regional captains in my class.

They’ve been doing the job for at least a decade. The ins and outs of the job are second nature to them. All they have to do is learn a new airplane and some new callouts.

logbook review
I was hoping someone who has recently gone through the interview process could shed light on this issue. The paperwork instructions for logbooks states, "Any source documents (logbooks) used to generate the electronic log must also be included with the requested documents." I recently converted all my logbooks to electronic format so I could print out a neat paper version, using a printing service. It now seems to me, that even though I can present that format during the logbook review, I still need to provide my original logbooks. (Which I was trying to avoid in the first place, because of I stopped completing my original logbook years ago and starting keeping my time electronically)
Any clarification from someone with first-hand knowledge would be much appreciated!

I had stopped doing a paper logbook back in 2013. So the time difference between then and now was simply asked about, then we moved on.
