I heard that exact same thing from my CA yesterday. Zero to hero program in the works to deal with the upcoming shortage of pilots. Guess we'll see, got to find people from somewhere.

This thread has gone full retard (and I mean that in the most PC, throttles coming to idle way).
Back to the original discussion -
Average TT? Still around 3-4K military and 9-12k regional I am guessing?
Still have that pesky 1000 PIC requirement but it is maybe decreasing soon?
I was in training and heard 780 new hires from multiple sources and up to 1,000 next year. That's insane.

VPFs left and right, with two days paying 20tfp.
And this is April... So how will this play out during the summer.

I have ~4000 hours total, ~2000 hours FW turbine, ~1000 hours FW turbine PIC, ~2000 hours rotary-wing, 860 RW PIC, 700 RW IP/SP/IE. Currently holding the "Director of Safety" (military equivalent) position. It took me 25 years of military flying to reach these hours. Prior enlisted and took six years of night school to complete my degree so I could apply to OCS to go to flight school.
I can't compete hour for hour with a 25 year 121 pilot. I hope Southwest values the other things on my resume besides my hours in the seat going from point A to B to C.

Make sure your hours are accurately represented and not rounded off like this. You'll have to clearly show in your logbooks markers where you met SWA mins.

I understand this and have my hours down to the .tenth in LogTen Pro but for the intent of my post, rounding seemed appropriate.
Thx

I plan on using my LogTen Pro for creating my logbook for any interviews I may have in the future. I have both, but I think the LogTen print options make a much better presentation for a potential interview.

BTW, I also used LogTen Pro to print out and bind my logbook for the interview. I brought my old ones as well, and for the logbook review, I tabbed both the handwritten ones and Log Ten Pro logbook.
