You guys may be in trouble. It seems as though this very Airline Pilot Central Forum has current threads discussing pressuring fellow pilots not to pick up open time.
That is illegal.
You have every right to not pick up open time. Even discussing trying to keep coworkers from doing it is really bad news. See below.
You guys may be able to argue that it is an imposter, not an actual Spirit pilot posting stuff like below, but otherwise the law is not on your side.
Why do people keep writing things like this online, in an easily recorded and archived forum? Do you not understand what is legal and effective and what isn't? Is there anyone not aware that anything written online can come back to haunt them?
I post this as a fellow-other airline pilot-who would like to see the entire pilot profession gain ground.

Funny thing is, I've personally heard him say how much he wants to get pay like a Delta 320 CA.
Call him and have a conversation with him.

As if you don't complain about the company stalling, underpaying you and undermining you, go above and beyond the contract ca America. So... your co-workers are little Bchs now? Look in the mirror for helping this management., who's the little Bch? I posted nobody's name, only if you do a little research you'll be able to find out who flew that leg.
Apparently you are ok with picking up trips, accepting JAs and doing favors during OPEN CONTRACT negotiations, I understand that is with in the contract to do so, but it isn't the right thing to do.

If I wanted to present a firm negotiating front to the company, I would discuss not picking up open time with my fellow pilots in a quiet side conversation or over the phone. It seems like a ridiculous way to undermine your own position by doing it in a public forum.

So who feels safe going to work now that our CEO has personally blamed all of us for their screw up? How do I explain to an angry mob that I've been at work as scheduled every day since this mess began? You cannot is the answer and this puts us all at risk given the national attention this has gotten along with the tag that the pilots caused it.
We get emails on how to de-escalate and then they just go ahead and escalate it for us to the point of making it a safety issue.
I want some acknowledgement of this and some damage control implemented post haste. You simply cannot blame a work group that is on the front line with the customer as the reason why that customer was wronged. It's reckless and irresponsible and dangerous. The other issue is that it's most likely irreparable. Apologies and redactions don't gain the national attention in our 24hr news and social media cycle like a good fight and blame game does.
Pure class Bob, pure class.

And still, my phone never rang, not once, during this "crisis".

I would estimate around 450 flights a day today we cancelled 61 and they say that is 13%. Tomorrow we have 50 cancelled so far and they are saying that is 10%. The irony is alot of us are not even getting calls to try and cover these flights.
