Low ball ploy. Union is correct on this one. I agree with leadership. No thank you. Don't give up work rules!!

Go look at allegiant's pay scale, pretty much the exact same rates.

so same rates with giving up work rules?

FreeSmiles 09-09-2017 02:59 PM

So... Give up what work rules we have for still substandard pay. No thanks. I'll walk. Don't fall for it and don't negotiate in public. I support my NC.

Edited to heed my own advice. We know Bendo's team reads this forum in particular. Let's not play into their hands by saying what we would accept.
Stay safe FLL folks. I'll help where I can.

Man we are trying to keep from negotiating on a public forum. Lets just say it was not a very good offer at all. ( I to support my NC and MEC)

dfwflyboy 09-09-2017 04:20 PM

yeah... not a good deal...

stanthecaddy 09-09-2017 04:30 PM

Would you like a side of toilet paper with your turd?

dfwflyboy 09-09-2017 04:32 PM

that would cost too much... gotta use your hand, its free. also give some high fives with that hand..:D

Qotsaautopilot 09-09-2017 05:50 PM

Low tier offer!!!!

So many work rule concessions and low tier compensation.

I support my MEC.

Even if they pulled their head out of their asses and offered industry standard compensation I'd be a NO just for not having industry standard long term disability. What happened to the AIP you agreed to two flipping years ago spirit?!! You can have $500/hr and a 50% DC retirement and it's not going to matter if you medical out. I don't care how healthy you think your are, you are 6mo-1yr from losing your medical.

SCOPE!!!! Not one mention from either the company or ALPA on the most important contract section.

I support my NC and MEC. Good call on this guys!

Uncle Frank 09-09-2017 07:02 PM

Hey Bendo! I support my MEC!

Longtime lurking, first time posting.

The company proposal is terrible. With the work rule concessions, pbs and etc this would without a doubt, be close to a cost neutral contract. Pilot utilization would skyrocket and completely offset the higher pay rates.

Thank you Alpa for not entertaining that **** poor offer.

Sherpa 09-09-2017 07:16 PM

Thank god they didn't waist our time with a TA on this, never woulda passed. It's sad they spent until midnight on the proposal. Two and a half years and getting more expensive with every TA. Wouldn't it be cheaper just to get a deal done?

Chimpy 09-09-2017 07:23 PM

Above industry average per diem, lol

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Directautogroup 09-09-2017 07:43 PM

100% raise on hotel buyback. What are you complaining about?

Planepirate 09-09-2017 07:49 PM

I'm so happy nobody is on APC bashing ALPA for not sending this piece of crap out for a vote. ExpressJet has LTD with own occupation to 65 for crying out loud. And honestly I don't know if I'd accept $500/hr for pbs. Our management can't do the most basic things. Im not sure any amount of money is worth being on the receiving end of their ineptitude. I support my MEC.

Qotsaautopilot 09-09-2017 08:07 PM

And if we think it looks bad now think about how terrible it would've looked in 2025 when they are playing the same games on the next contract.

Industry standard! Not one cent less!

Oh I didn't see that part! That's a game changer! Lol

It's actually funny that their offer was so bad that Bendo included that little nugget in the bullet points. Haha. It's like a little peanut in a turd. I like peanuts, but not ones encased in poo...

Twice I made the mistake of bidding relief line, and twice I got the worst line imaginable. The hard lines are bad enough without the company having to build them according to our request, I really don't want PBS.

No limits on JA means no life, at least now we only have to fly our line.

No LTD improvement.

No transition conflict.

No full retro.

I have already reached the point were pay-scale is almost irrelevant...

but at least I can work during my vacation....

I am not negotiating in public, I am just stating for the record I support the NC.

hayimcow 09-09-2017 10:50 PM

I support the NC. And I feel that's all that needs to be said in this matter.

DHC8pylot 09-10-2017 01:31 AM

I support our NC/MEC! Garbage offer from company.

Squeaky banana 09-10-2017 01:37 AM

Garbage over is right. The NC did its job by not bringing a ta that won't pass. None thinks it was even close. I find it funny that Bendo thought to release the company offer. I'm guessing he thinks the pilots will be ****ed that we didn't get to vote on "all that money", but I think it backfired. It was a turd and pretty much gave the nc/mec more support than they already had...

I thought there was a aga order on the negotiations. You don't see this coming from ALPA. Why is the company violating the gag order? Hmmmmm.

groundspoiler 09-10-2017 01:55 AM

Gag order, sorry.

Squeaky banana 09-10-2017 01:58 AM

I would imagine the gag order was dropped when negotiations failed and no new dates were added.

Whats funny is Mr. Bendoritis thinks we'd somehow be joyed that we could work over Vacation, lol., like what???? We're supoosed to be ecstatic about that?

Proud of the Unity around here and support my MEC & N/C 100%.

Bendo didn't release that offer for the pilot's benefit...it was released as a tool to sow division with the pilot group and the flight attendants, gate agents, mechanics, etc etc. I look forward to counting how many times over the next few weeks I will hear the statement; "I can't believe you guys are passing up (insert Bendo bullet point)!"

Maybe it will motivate the mechanics to unionize and I'll never feel I have to defend my paycheck to a FA.

Shouldn't be a newsflash that pilots make more than their coworkers.

There may be a few out there, but by and large the other groups know NK's true colors. They've been raked over the coals too.

Wait until the media presser; that'll be the real spin machine.

I think maybe that will have an effect on "people" but as far as the investment community is concerned, doesnt matter, what matters is Spirit still hasnt resolved the Labor issue.....

I read it was only the pilots it was sent to. I agree that would be the reason if he sent it out to everyone. Also, it's pretty easy to justify to other groups that we would still be 20 percent behind other groups, with our qol ruined. I'm fine with negotiating in public. I want delta +1...

Oh I agree, Joe Public doesn't care like they think they do, and the investment community will see right through it...but it's Ford Harrison 101.

howzitchina 09-10-2017 06:26 AM

$ irrelevant, if no work rules.

I support our MEC/NC!

It was sent only to the pilots, now it could get leaked to the other groups.
