Correct: Negotiations broke off without an agreement and no future dates are scheduled. I was led to believe the term "iced" was to describe the situation we are currently in. It is not a term used by the NMB. So now I'm really confused lol

Yea I think Ice is a term used by pilots ( or that is what I was told). I have also heard the term "parked". From what I understand both these terms are used when there are not further dates set, and the pilot group is not released to self help. ( I could be wrong)

You're dumb. There is no enforced practice by the NMB known as "iced" so it seems you have no clue. Its a term made by pilots to basically describe a re-evaluate and cool down period for both parties but it is in no way a action that's enforced by the NMB. that said I think that rather or not it is a NMB practice, we are ( as pilots refer to ) on ice to try and force us to lower our expectations.

You must be a FLL or DFW CA. For those wondering, they are among the worst in our pilot group. Biggest crybabies and weirdest people in the whole group by a large margin. That said both groups are filled with great people but have a few major DB's so they ruin everything.
My guess is that I can name half of the **** talkers by name on here but I won't.

Thanks! My guess is the standard list you would come up with for DFW are not the guys posting on APC. As an FO never had a problem with anyone there. You must be a DTW or ORD FO. They (outside of FLL) have CAs with the most animosity towards some of the more outspoken DFW guys. Way to malign against not only a fellow pilot but 2 entire bases!

I think what he was getting at was the same as those using terms like "scab" used freely, but has a different meaning altogether. Yes, we have no scheduled meetings and appears similar--like being terminated or being laid off=net result someone walking the street without a job. We can make analogies all day long, but at the end of the day does it help the group--I think no.
