The fit is very bad. The pants are marginal material quality and cut way too high and way too baggy, and very inconsistent with sizing.

The shirts are all Van Heusen with the ridiculous 7" epaulette straps..and again, cut very big, swimming in the shirts.

The tie...simple.

Not sure what shirts you are using at your current job but you probably have the ones you prefer anyways...we dont wear wings on our shirts here. Some guys use these regional shirts that have wing holes and rock their Spirit blazer wings on their shirt. Wrong on so many levels....

If it were me, buy 2 pairs of A Cut Above pants, have them hem them up, use those two pairs, be comfortable, and expect probably a uniform change later in the year anyways. I would avoid the blazer because of the most likely color change and instead buy the Karbon. It will be approved going into the next uniform color scheme as well and it seems to be the current popular choice on the line, leather seems to be on its way out here.

In the end, please just try and look professional and comply. You will see so much non compliance trash on the line and its just another example of Spirit pilot apathy and I think sometimes new guys get easily trapped into that when they see that kind of trash on the line. Its why I shake my head with the JC Penney shiny Haggar slacks.
We want Delta, but will dress JC Penney....

This is exactly what I did, two pairs of a cut above pants and a Karbon jacket. Didn’t want to load up on blue as eventually we’ll have a uniform change.

I was really looking forward to using my regional shirts with the area for the wings in em. Ugh...

After the uni change would i have to buy new stuff all over again?

if you are on property when we make the change the company will give you 8 shirts, 2pants, 2 ties and the blazer

you can wear the shirts with the wing holes just dont be one of the tools with the wings on the shirt.

And in my opinion, $66 is not a bad price for pants that fit well and are not 100% polyester. You can tell the guys who rock the 100% poly pants, their pant shine will blind you 100 yards away.

You’ll also have some try and convince you that their Dockers or golf Haggar pants look “exactly the same”. No they don’t.

And only pilots will scoff at a $66 pair of anything that they spend their entire working life in. Thankfully we aren’t lawyers and need to buy suits. Can you imagine if we had to really dress like grownups??

I tried the Cut Above pants a few years back and the fit was horrendous. Almost as bad as our uniform vendor. How long have you been buying your pants from ACA?

I’ve been buying ACA for about 10 years.

Most everyone I speak to likes their pants, myself included. Maybe you’re shaped weird? Lol
