Congrats to those of you who wanted it pass and sorry for those of you that wished for it to fail. Either way, it is done. Time to learn the new contract in and out, educate your fellow pilots, and ready the grievance forms. I expect nothing less from a scumbag ULCC management group. I hope the Easter eggs you find in the contract are gifts for the pilots and not for the company.

The pay is brought up dramatically. That isn't bringing the industry down. It is raising the industry average pay which is a good thing.

I don't think that's how it works in the real world. In the real world, 50% of everything is "below average". That bottom 50% doesn't need to get crapped on by people trying to piggyback on everyone else's successes while criticizing everyone else who doesn't measure up to whatever imagined standard you're using at any particular moment. The bottom 50% knows they're in the bottom 50%, and most of them are working to improve their lot in life without stepping on others. It's hard enough without having to climb up against a river of poop flowing downhill from uphill critics, let alone climb up dragging along everyone trying to hitch a free ride on the backs of anyone who gets any sort of improvement, and then complaining when the improvements other people achieve are somehow not good enough.
Quit your whining and poo flinging, or I'll be forced to throw more bad analogies in your general direction.
