I've never said don't hire any group of Pilots. Get that on the record. I'm pointing out the glaring fact what a lot of guard guys do. I'm sure a lot of guys/gals are honest and want to serve. That's why the USA is great. Fact is a lot abuse the system and use it to their own benefit. Other will pay the price. Did you know the tax credit to hiring a Veteran? It's a big deal. Correct me if I'm wrong, it may have run out. If Spirit didn't want to hire Mil guys then Spirit wouldn't call. That's the first falsehood. Sandi know the game and if she thinks your going to screw Spirit you'll get a TBNT letter/email. BTW my last FO was a F18 guy. I told him he had to leave, we don't hire MIL guys. Great 3 trip good guy and stick. LOL

No it is not.

That said Wayst - please describe exactly what they said when they turned him down that meant this was because he was military.

The idea that Spirit doesn't hire folks who are military is obviously false, plenty of military at Spirit.

Do they discriminate against total ja**as**es? I hope so.

The guy is so in demand by the military he can't work his current job, but has time to interview elsewhere? PLEASE!! That is total BS, at least have the courtesy to show up at your current job for just a day or two before interviewing.

And yes, they can ask what the hell someone has been doing recently. Just because you're military doesn't give you a total pass to be a raging j***a**!

Seriously, it's HR's JOB to be looking out for guys like this.
