You’re probably looking a a few months in. Only place I’ve seen people go in training is LAS, FLL and a couple to MCO everything else might be very sporadic.

Vegas

Been assigned Vegas out of training. If I decide to stay there, how long to hold a line?

How long to hold a line in Vegas for a new hire?

While a few months may end up being accurate, there’s no much data on how senior or junior it would go because 1) it’s a new base and 2) we have a reduction bid which affects senior FOs in other bases.

Yeah I got a feeling the reduction bid in Dallas will probably see a lot of those guys go IAH for an easy commute! Hopefully there will still be a few junior spots in IAH come next year!

Is it that easy? It’s been a while, but I recall those flights being pretty full and having to go to DAL is really annoying

Did that commute in a previous life for only a month. Next to impossible

Thats true, most of the flights between the two Texas airports are pretty bad for commuting. I should have said “easier” commute for people who already lives in Dallas as you can drive the 3.5 hours worse case scenario or reserve the jump seat!

Speaking of, for those familiar with commuting out of DFW, any airports easier to commute to from personal experience for the junior bases, LAS/FLL/MCO?

LAS is great if you don’t mind redeyes. You gain an hour going west and you can get a late RAP on reserve that gives you an extra day off because it overlaps into another day. FLL/MCO seems tough given the loads and loss of an hour.
