Can't wait for our NK brethren to get introduced to their new overlords. The ops melt downs are going to be biblical.

The good news is you won't have to call CS, because no one will answer!

Sooooo... Exactly the same thing that we currently experience?

Worst troll attempt ever...

Seriously, after 30 minutes on hold, hang up, get a taxi, get a hotel and email crew scheduling 'duty off XXX I'm at hotel XXX awaiting your instructions'.

That's cool too, I don't know if it's just rumor or not though that some people got in trouble for doing that AND claiming SIT pay.

What is this, junior high? Got in trouble? No one has been provided an NOI (leading to a fact-finding meeting) if they've gone through the motions of reasonableness when dealing with stuff like this (self-releasing from DHs, going home after flight cancellations and ghosted by CS, etc). Ask your rep, they can set the record straight. Please don't spout garbage like this online; it's not rooted in fact. Also, there is no "claim" to SIT pay; it's a marker placed on a schedule then calculated by the crew pay department.

First of all, 25 I, or in other words what is commonly known as sit pay by 99% of the line pilots.

Second, paraphrased what was told to me by a Union rep that I flew with, they said it happened during the last melt down which is what was being talked about...

Last, does being a douche canoe just come naturally for you?

Douche canoe? Yes, definitely junior high.

So defensive.

And 25.I is commonly known to Spirit pilots as “rescheduling pay” not “sit pay”.
