I know FLL is a junior base, most folks I’ve talked to in recent classes have been assigned LAS during training. What’s the likelihood FLL can be had prior to wrapping up training?

Everyone gets LAS on the first bid and usually what they want on the second bid (with the exception of few bases). You won’t every see LAS.

What's the time to hold a line in FLL/MIA or MCO?

I don’t have the exact info in front of me, but I believe it’s 3-4 months in FLL/MIA and about 8-9 months in MCO. YMMV

Per the Feb awards, FLL/MIA most jr line holder was a June 22 hire. MCO March 22 hire.

Thanks for clearing that up, Lincoln

What are the trips out of MCO like? An even mix of 1-4 days?

Hard to answer this forward looking. Assume more 1-2 day trips than 3 or [especially] 4 day trips. Jeff Miller said on a call that management would need to make time on the road more enjoyable. To me 3-4 day trips are the sweet spot, but kudos those who like turns and live in base. Viva la atrición.

The average lifespan of a day turn in FLL open time is about the same as 0-60 in a brand new Z06. I would say if anything the 1-2 day trips are keeping more people here as opposed to leaving.

Even though I'm local, if I'm driving to the airport, packing bags, dealing with the employee bus, etc, etc, I might as well do 3 days.

Whose packing a bag or riding a bus on a turn?
