My experience with the Miami loads are 50% various Latinks (is that how you say Latinx?) communities either stopping to visit family there, or connecting further on down south. The other 50% are exactly like our Vegas loads, wanting the absolute cheapest ride there so they can drop all their money and look like ballers on their Instagrams. Not sure it’s enough for any appreciable market share.

Anybody know about that FO that brought a hot plate in the cockpit to warm up his meal and it caught fire or smoke in the cockpit and they had to divert? I guess it was a new guy.

It wasn’t so much the hot plate that caused the issue, but when he did the hibachi-style flaming onion volcano is what set off the smoke master warning.

I knew a flight attendant here who used to carry a rice cooker around with her and lamented she didn’t have anywhere in the cabin to plug it in.

hopefully he at least had the tall chef hat on and juggled his spatulas in the air while he said “you like white rice or fried rice wee dat?”

this must be a separate incident…the story I was told was a guy had his “hot box” start to smoke like it shorted out or something and lots of smoke in the cockpit.
