I think what was meant by 7 years is time to a line since DOH as a LAS captain. 3 years to upgrade then 4 years on reserve. Hence why many LAS FOs bypass and so it is senior for 'senior FOs'

That's valuable info. Thank you for that. Just looking at random days, looks like 2-3 flight depending on the day. Quite doable.
A different note, will they suggest hotels to stay at when we interview since we're booking our own accommodations?

Obviously not my best written post.....What I intended to say, but didn't:
It takes 7 years to hold a line as a captain, so there is a lot of people bypassing the upgrade, so we have a lot of very senior FOs in LAS. On the bottom end, pretty much everyone gets to spend a month in LAS as an FO, before going to the base of their choice. So it is both a very senior, and a very junior base for FOs.

I didn't interview in FLL so I don't know if they will suggest hotels or not. But the facility is on the west side of the FLL airport so i'm sure you can call the Sheltair FBO to see if they have a recommendation.

They will book the flight for you and you usually will be able to head home the same day. They seem to work with your schedule. At least that is how it was for me.

Yes, they do recommend a few hotels. It should be in the email with a general overview of what to expect/bring on interview day.

Curious to why LAS is easy to get right out the gate? Any reason to why LAS is undesirable to new hires?
