Thank you
There's too many factors, how many dependents do you claim, state income tax. Roth or Pre tax 401K, Medical/Dental, the list goes on.

is $2000 net a reasonable expectation, monthly ?

No state income tax (Texas), wife and kids. fairly plain-jane deductions

$55x72 ( minimum guarantee) = $3,960 before tax and per diem so yes, you should be able to clear at least 3k.

Even IF you were to get an interview at Spirit, they would smell “flight risk” allllll over you.

Anyone who posts a thread in the Southwest section asking “envoy or Spirit” as the best path to SWA, must have “SWA” written across his forehead.

Best of luck to you. I personally don’t want to share a flight deck with someone who thinks this place is on par with any regional; I don’t want that mindset at this place.

And it’s insukting to those of us who are making a career out of this place while you view it as a stepping stone. I’d rather not waste a class spot on someone like you.

9 months under new contract and 3 under old, and signing bonus; I’ll make $300k this year. Next year without the signing bonus I’ll make over $250k easily. This ain’t a regional, brother.

You don’t have a minute of jet or 121 time to your resume. You are not a preferred hire or even likely to get an interview.

Sorry if my position is direct; but wasting people’s time asking how much you will make first year while trying to “bail”, waste of time

I disagree. If we continue to have a high turnover rate, it's possible, (not likely, but possible) that it will get noticed by higher-ups. While the next contract is still far away, a high turnover rate is a bargaining chip, albeit a weak one, as we found out last year.

I ask all my 20-something FO's if they have their stuff out and take small pleasure when they say that they do. Yes, I've committed to a career here for my own reasons, but that doesn't mean everyone else has to.

As long as they don't approach it with an entitled and condescending attitude, that is.

I have no problem with someone who wants to be working here but have apps updated elsewhere. However, when you post "Envoy or Spirit" and think we are just another regional. I don't think we need guys like that working here. IMO
