I wonder if Boeing will significantly delay the 797 for the time being. They have to fix and prove once again that the MAX is a good aircraft, they are also trying to finish the 777X and they had a few issues with the Air Force tanker. I don´t know if their BOD would be wanting to sink so much capital on a brand new clean sheet aircraft.

American just ordered 50 A321 XLR, Jetblue just ordered some. I read an article that said Delta was looking at the A321 XLR.
Boeing may have to concede the 757 replacement market to Airbus while they try to fix the MAX. The 797 might be a pipe dream at this point. Hope not but Airbus is taking the orders so far. |
Everyone keeps putting in orders except us. Just don’t see how we get Airbuses in 2022 now.

Or we merge with someone who has the orders that operates in a ULCC model with only Airbuses.... Wonder who that could be...;)

Or they order mostly A220’s

Or perhaps we're just the ALK of the 2020s that doesn't know what it wants to be when it grows up.
