It’s just a guess that fits the facts and not indicative of what I’m hoping will happen.

Allegiant would be more likely than F9. F9 has a stand-alone future and direction. Spirit has none beyond 2021. I can see us buying Allegiant for their 50ish Airbus and getting some straggler Airbus from China/Russia or Virgin

And Teds welcome email? What welcome. He’s already taken over. Just another absentee CEO. You won’t hear much from him. Behind the scenes so far. My last airline, We had a damn good CEO. Weekly updates. Videos. He was very hands on and vocal. You won’t see that here since Baldanza

I bet you wouldn’t be saying that if it was a 787. Lol

Because a 787 isn't a cockpit from 1960 where you have no space at all. a 777 and a 787 cockpits are large. (75/76 meh)

Really it's just the 737 that's stuck in the damn stone age and boeing doesn't seem to give a crap.

Boeing: "Oh did we mention our planes come with a free tailstand*?"

* Because our piece of crap is so 'well designed' that it can fall backwards on its tail or even get lifted by a little 50mph wind and get utterly destroyed.

Yes Mr. Baldanza...you have to admit If you were here during that time this was an AWFUL airline...the product sucked the on time sucked the maintenance sucked... it all sucked..
Baldanza communicated with employees? Who cares! Keep the stock price up and 1bil in unrestricted cash in the bank and I sleep better at night. This airline is light years ahead of where it was when BB was here. Good riddance. This is our airline and we FINALLY have something to be proud of. More airplanes will come it’s just a question of when. We are far too profitable to be left in the weeds while everyone else grows... and from a product standpoint... we blow f9 and Allegiant out of the water.. FINALLY...Baldanza is gone for a reason...we’re gonna be fine if everyone is patient. As far as your old CEO... that’s nice and gives the employees the warm and fuzzies...I care about stock price and debt...and profit sharing in 2022!

True as can be. I wish some passengers would realize we are not what we were 4 years ago.

Atleast someone gets it! These airplanes are coming and to some, because it hasn't been announced yet, Spirit has become a "ruderless ship". What's to say the order isn't already in place with the manufacturer and the company is waiting to make an announcement on their terms (timing for gains in stock value or investor confidence)? The board elected senior management would be terminated if the ship became "rudderless".

The posters who say "my friend had Ted on his plane and he said blah blah blah", Ted ain't saying S H I T to some line pilot or the FTC would be all over him. The order is coming and its been mentioned on multiple investor calls. Sit back, enjoy your five days off reducible to four.

Neither are that large, and the 787 seats look all high tech, but they are just a plastic shell around the same torture device that are in the other Boeing flight decks. Airbus is much more comfortable overall.

Well despite your outlook, skipper I just flew with had Ted on board a week or so ago, chatted with him and said they were waiting on a “request for proposal” from an undisclosed manufacturer, and it normally takes a bit of time for legal and beam counters to dissect this, so any potential order announcement wouldn’t be “until later this year”.

Straight laced ex-military guy who didn’t seem like one to embellish or invent rumors. Take it for what it’s worth

Of course pure speculation, but my bet is a big Paris Airshow order. Would be interesting if Boeing offered a combo deal for 737MAX, Embraer E2s and maybe some new 797 positions since the rumor is that the 797 would be launched at the Paris Air Show. Delta will be the official launch customer for the 797, but a large, mixed Spirit order would be BIG airshow news.

Still would love to see a combo Airbus order with CSeries/A220s and A321NEOs (maybe sourced from Norwegian’s previous large order). I guess time will tell...

Sure, I wouldn't dispute that. I should have specified actual details of a deal wouldn't be discussed.

Good info though!
