MOCK BIDS NAVBLUE PBS 70percentile

Commuters will probably keep it, and those of us who live in base will probably waive it (like me to get weekends off). I don't really see the problem? The way it is now is pretty much a win/win for everyone.

Commuters will keep it until they see they're getting phucked out of a better line by waiving to 3 (or less).

Except that the company wanted it, ie saw value in it. Something useful in negotiating.

I don't really understand the outrage. If you want 4 days off you are going to get it. If you value a particular schedule more than the 4 days off you are going to get it. As a junior bidder the 4 days off was the first thing I looked forward to getting rid of with PBS. Having a mandatory 4 days off would probably make me unable to hold a line.

"Neither the TA nor the PBS LOA modifies the four day off language. The PBS LOA allows individual pilots the option to waive this requirement for a 6-month trial basis. The MEC will decide whether or not to keep this option."

So if 50% of the pilot group waives the 4 days off and you aren't near the top of the seniority list won't you have to waive it also to avoid getting a crap schedule? If this is true haven't we given away one of our big bargaining chips for free?

my problem is that it kind of avoids the question of "are very junior line holders forced to waive their 4 off to get a line since senior guys waived theirs?" though.
