I take the joke but you do realize the OPSPEC has nothing to do with our international override right?

True, but no contract has been written covering inter solar system travel. I suspect that mgt will call travel to Mars local and nature, and only agree to the override for traveling to the moons of the gas planets knowing that they’re far less attractive for space travel.

Also, I’m sure there will be an Opspec preventing travel to Europa as we should attempt no landings there.

Hoping for a 10% override on our Mars routes. Anything further than that like to Jupiter needs to be at 15%

Across the Atlantic gets staffed with 3 pilots, over the Pacific with 4. So Mars gets staffed with. . . ?

TWA had a L1011 flight that went LAX-LGA-JFK and another that went LGA-JFK-LAX. We never flew direct LGA-LAX in the L1011. You could not get out of there with transcon fuel.

All other widebody ops were at JFK.

The point of the conversation was that the L-1011 flew in and out of LGA not where it flew in from or to. But beyond that, ATA flew the 757-300 in and out of LGA no problem.

The point of my post is that the L1011 was a sham marketing thing so they could say LGA had a transcon. They always stopped for fuel at JFK. Heavies don't work at LGA.
