Honestly, to me it is the same as a guy showing up in Dockers and an LL Bean jacket. Hard to take you serious if you can't be bothered to check grammar and spelling. That's just me.

Believe me I am not the dockers and LL Bean guy... but I also don’t spend any useful time in my life preaching to co workers about grammar... kinda low on my list of priorities... and I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to sleep tonight if you can’t take me serious...I didn’t capitalize “dockers”...take a deep breath
Bruh I’m just bored and messing with ya. You know that right? |

It's hard to take you seriously, that sentence requires an adverb.

Soooo is there supposed to be or not supposed to be a space following an ellipsis? Oh wait, I see. You’re using an ellipsis as a substitute for a period so you can run on a sentence indefinitely and not have to capitalize anything. Nice. Let me call Webster’s and have them update the American lexicon standard lololololol.

Jackets: Jackets are optional during warm weather. At the moment, the only approved optional uniform jacket is the Perrone Leather Jacket. Base Chief Pilots are not the “uniform police;” however, they have been instructed to make routine inquiries for wildly outrageous uniform decisions. We are currently in the process of sourcing a new uniform. We still have a good deal of time ahead of us before this occurs. You should continue to order from the current HPI uniform selection. Many have asked about the Karbon jacket option. Although this is not an official uniform piece, you may elect to wear it, provided the approved epaulets and wings are worn with it. The Velcro name tag should not be worn. We are working on making this an official uniform selection; but do not expect this to happen in the immediate future. I’d like to thank the uniform committee Ryan Pachofsky and Jessica Meyer for their passion for appearance and professionalism. Thanks for serving our pilot group. Also, thanks for all the sizing info. |

So I’m about the same size as you. I’m 5’9, 175lbs. I just got the small and it fits perfect. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
The $20 dollars for the "TAG" is just a piece of black cardboard to attach the wings. it neither comes with your name nor the airline name. https://karbon2.myshopify.com/collec...18559295389777 Badge comes blank...

Are there no returns if it doesn’t fit? I’ve heard rumors they are in this chief pilot or that chief pilot office to try on. Have yet to be able to do that.

I unfortunately removed the tags and that’s why I’m trying to sell my large/regular. It’s still for sale for anyone interested. |

Any other options other than this fancy jacket? I have a black leather jacket from my old gig... didn’t know if that is an option. Class date of December 9th. I’m stoked to be coming to Spirit seems like a lot of good people.

The leather jacket has to be from our approved vendor
But let’s be honest, every pilot does what they want anyways with uniform and justifies it accordingly. |
Sorry this is off topic. Seems like Spirit’s website doesn’t have employee travel login anymore. Anyone know where to go to list?

No it doesn’t. It just has to meet the style approved by the company; wings, epaulettes, tapered bottom. Carol in DTW will verify this. The Perone jacket is mid grade quality and there are other options of better quality and fit that meet the company specifications.

The intermediate jacket is a certain brand and has epaulets and wings required.

There's nothing itermediate about the Karbon if anyone is thinking of ordering it. It's a lot warmer than the leather IMO. It's definitely heavier than your typical North Face or Columbia soft shell.
I think the northface has a place practically but I for one think a uniform makes us look uniform and presents an image as pilots so it irritates me when guys do their own thing. I thought the Karbon was a good option for compromise as long as it’s worn with wings and epaulets just like the leather. You never see a double breasted ocean liner captain at delta saying the single option they are given is not acceptable and instead do their own thing. You don’t have to like the options given but it’s your job to conform. |

Interesting. Is that with our without the liner. I pretty much go from no jacket straight to the leather because my blazer is an ill fitting pos. Was thinking about the Karbon as a shoulder season jacket but if that’s not the case I’ll just keep doing what I’m doing or hopefully get a better blazer when we change uniforms.

I ordered mine without the liner. It’s overkill unless you’re walking around Minneapolis in January.
