"Based on this, and until such time as CrewTrac is programmed correctly, we recommend that pilots take the time to carefully check any pairing offered before accepting any premium assignment or returning a call to Crew Scheduling."
We are so soft. This is the second time the MEC has told pilots to take the time to verify. Not once have they said what is being done to hold the company accountable to fix the issues.
But hey guys, keep sending in emails to fuelburn to get those APUs turned off!

Sounds like Spirit has a min trip of 5 per duty period as opposed to min day. So, if you work a two day with with say a day one of 8 hours block with three legs, 20 hour layover, and a day two of 1 hour block, the pay would be 10 as opposed to 13 with a min day credit of 5. You get to stay away from home for a whopping 2 hours extra of pay...Is that correct? Can't be...

What you are describing is a hard daily credit vs an average daily or duty period credit. As far as I know, there aren’t many that still have a hard daily minimum credit (maybe FedEx? SWA?). The trip you described pays 10 hours at NK, which is the same as it would pay at DL, UA, AA, etc. The area in which we are behind is that we still have a min duty period average as opposed to a min daily average. The 24 layover rig and the 3.5:1 trip rig help with this issue although obviously there are still some holes and some inefficient trips fall through the cracks.

Lots of regionals have a hard min and leg by leg. Leg by leg is not uncommon at the majors but hard min day is.
