Maybe if you didn’t have people abusing the system by checker boarding we’d still be able to drop.

How is dropping a reserve day that either, gives you a day off you need or, dropping a reserve day to prevent being assigned a 4 day trip you don't want ..... that is allowed by the contract, abusing the system. Couldn't ever figure that one out when I hear these statements.

The company signed the contract allowing you to drop single reserve days that showed green on the grid. It wasn't abusing the system. It was using the contract to benefit you.

Which directly resulted in reserve dropping being taken out.

While most of us understood that checkerboard drops would likely go away, what WE voted in goes far beyond that. There is no reason that an outside-in drop over green days shouldn't be allowed. Hell, even some of the most garbage management run regional contracts allow this. It's not like you can (or could) pick up anything over those drop days for gain. We massively sold out work rules for for a bump in pay.

And to those of you saying new spirit rsv isn't THAT bad: get back to us after 2 years of it.

Happiness is a state of mind. If it makes you feel better to complain, then continue. Hopefully it will change next contract
