Figured this might be the best place to ask.
I interview on October 25 and from reading previous replies on the forum it sounds like if all goes well I could receive a job offer 1-2 weeks after the interview with a class date 1-2 months out. That puts a class date right around Jan 2020. Is it possible to push the class date? And if so how far out does Spirit allow the class date to be pushed? A change in my plans means I won't be able to take a class date until Spring 2020 now, advice from you all would be appreciated. Push the interview? Interview then defer the class date? Or just talk to the recruiter before the interview and ask for their advice? |
Just want to clarify the trip rig....
So it’s 3.5:1. That means you must be paid 6.85 hours of credit per 24 hours away from base... is that correct? That seems too good to possibly be true. So a 4-day trip is 27+ hours of credit? And you only need to hit 72/month? |

However a 4 day will very rarely, if ever, be 96 hours away from base (which is what you used for calculation). Typical TAFB for a 4 day will range between 65 hours - 85 hours. Most 4 days will credit 20 hours plus or minus a couple depending on base, seniority, and trip preferences. |

Like Landgreen said, it's per hour, not per day. Depending on base, you will credit block or rig or extra credit. Some of trips I bid in LAS are 4-day, 4 legs total, 10pm check in, 10am check out, so 58hr TAFB, 12hr block, 20 hour credit, because 3 duties and a long layover (extra day pay for 24hr+ hotel).

Has anyone received class dates from this interview?
