Just plan on one year of reserve. If it ends up being shorter, consider yourself lucky.

Right but what I'm asking I guess then is just what are the junior bases in order at this point?

Thanks all.

Spirit slowed hiring from Nov 2018 to July 2019 so it has skewed the times. Right now 13 months for a line in both FLL/MCO. This number will drop drastically as hiring has been full speed ahead since July.

I’ve been on property since April so 8 months. I got a line in Dec in ORD and have one in DTW for Jan. We have been hiring like mad, and upgrading FOs as well, so reserve is dropping for sure. Now if you get hired towards the end of the wave... it’s gonna be a different story.

Thanks. I guess my phrasing of the question was weird. Essentially I want ord as a base and don't mind reserve but assumed maybe fll or mco would give a quicker line.

Sidebar. Can spirit pilots jumpseat on their own metal internationally?

Now that's a nice vacation perk!! Just list as standard? I guess your still liable for departure taxes etc. Either way that's an awesome bonus for travel

Jumpseaters on company metal are considered part of the crew, and therefore, no departure tax.

If you “jumpseat” OAL, however, you still pay the tax.

This is standard industry practice as far as I know.
