Been reading through this forum and getting pretty excited about Spirit. I know schedule flexibility is great, 4 days off after trips and being able to drop up to a whole month.

I was hoping to hear more specifics on schedule flexibility and also how dropping up to a whole month works.

It’s really simple, actually. You look at the reserve coverage, and as long as it’s adequate, you can drop any trip you have. Unless you’re on reserve, then the flexibility is hot garbage.

Anyone on here commute to long call yet? Trying to decide if sitting at home with a pretty long commute it safe or not.

How many options a day do you have and how long is the flight?

just look at any time of day and ask yourself “if they called me right now could I be there 14 hrs from now?”

the tough call is usually late afternoon. You may not be able to get to the airport in time for the last flight of the day and the first flight may not get you there in time. All depends on your home airport and your options to base.

Short call is three hours ready to push.

Short call means 3 hours to departure, what that means to you as far as when you turn up is subjective, but if the plane is not ready and pushing back 3 hours after you are notified for no other reason, then that delay is on you.

Long call is a report time.
