How is that a cheerleader when he is basically telling you to man up and act like the big man you want to be?

People want to be paid top dollar and are scared to leave if the hold time is unacceptable or even call a CP if needed.

Man up, sack up. Stop crying. Its not being a cheerleader, its called using that lump 3' above your butt. I dont get abused because I dont let myself be abused.

There still is a contract. Can’t just release yourself because you feel like it.

if any reasonable airline had scheduling hold times less then two hours this would be a non issue.

less when two hours?

for the record, trip check-ins and reserve release are stupid. If we are a big boy airline with big boy pilots, we should all be trusted to show up on time or call someone to announce our absence.

Same thing with reserve release. Land. Check your schedule. Go home.

hell yeah I’m a cheerleader. 1/4 million dollars a year for the literally the easiest job I’ve ever had.

Let me guess .. you spent less than 3 years a a regional, within last 5 years you were a flight instructor, you commute to reserve then complain about QOL, applied here knowing the rules then still complain incessantly about them, and then get on chat boards to Moan about how miserable you are treated and how bendo stays awake every night to make your personal life Hell. And all other airlines are just simply perfectly run shops that shower their pilot groups with praise and Riches. And you are probably born after 1988. Nailed it .

Not the case but most airlines COO's don't say that getting protected in a basement in puerto rico is standard and a non issue for an airline...

Yes you can. Just go to the hotel, expense it if it doesn't get reimbursed before you wake up. Probably (88% sure) been here longer than you, never had a problem. Would it be super awesome if ourr IT and CS got them $t together? Absolutely, but for all of the inadequacies, in the end some of it works, mostly barely good enough, so why leave?

You dont release yourself, obviously. Maybe you should consult the new hire guide we give our fresh new hires to read on what is required when you finish a reserve assignment and need to check out.

Hint..it doesn't say to wait at the airport for hours like a...
