All the Comms I saw from Jet Blue and United and others were after our announcement. Some got even better deals. That’s great and that’s how it works. Pattern bargaining and all. Kinda how Southwest set the bar during Covid and preventing furloughs, which was the same format we used.

It obviously worked (relatively speaking). I saw AA and others in the news that week. Within a day or 2 most every trip (primarily those Jan 1 and beyond) were no longer in OT.

I get it’s easy to claim nothing changes, but we 100% could have easily had another massive meltdown again, but instead of we took this approach and we didn’t. 🤷🏻‍♂️
SWA started around December 15th, and just extended it to february 8th.

Cool. Thanks. I didn’t know. I hadn’t worked much around the holidays. My first day back was when this whole deal started. Good for them!

Spirit also had pretty much the best Covid MOU’s also and about the only airline that didn’t furlough at all.

You missed the summer meltdown that killed the profitability of the airline.

I understand that, but we would have seen profit in Q3 if not for the meltdowns. I'll give management credit though, their new meltdown plan seemed to work over the holidays.

It was a shockingly origin solution lol. Who would have thought that paying more would entice people to work OT.

biggest advantage was letting us do it ourselves rather then waste time and precious crew scheduling resources calling through miles of x and y list names. Hopefully they learned a lesson from this that when they get in a bad place open it up to FLICA and things will be staffed much quicker.
