I snuck home on most days off. However you obviously have to be smart with it. Have plenty of back up plans on how your going to get back in time and make sure you don’t fall behind on studies.

1 week indoc, 1 week CPT (flows), 1 week self study for 14 hours of CBT, 2 weeks of system integration training (8 sessions) and Oral exam. 1 week of FTD (4 sessions), 1 week of FFS (5 sessions), Type ride, LOFT, UPRT. Total estimated 9 weeks from day zero to go home and wait. Current estimate for first OE flight is about 2 weeks, accordingly its about 5 days of OE can't speak about that.... good luck!

Unless your family is in either FLL or DFW, or planning to come visit, I'd plan on being gone 100% of the time after the 1 week of home study. There very likely won't be 2+ day gaps off for you to "occasionally slip home". I'm sure you've been through enough training by now to know how it works. Do your time, pass, and go enjoy home. You and your family should understand how initial training works at this point.

yes but don’t worry. They’ll still be there when you get back...maybe.
