This won’t continue. It’s only been a day since nearly every state and local govt has forced closures of all facilities and restaurants. The govt is really pushing the social distancing and flattening the curve. Heavy push since yesterday. Many of our Intl destinations have shut us off.

If nothing is open when you get to your destination and they don’t even want you to go visit extended family but to stay w your immediate family unit. No play dates no social activity whatsoever.

we will not be flying half full planes in a week. My guess is bigger changes to our schedules coming.

I would not be surprised to see a complete stoppage for a two week period

If you were waiting to upgrade with better seniority... that boat has come and gone. Keep swinging that gear :-(

Exactly why you should always take first available upgrade. Never know when the wheels will stop turning.

Always set your bid for whatever position you want to be in should the music stop. Some guys might prefer to commute to reserve as low seniority CA for the next few years while others might prefer to be home based as an FO with good seniority.

Wrong. I could(l've?) hold upgrade right now and commute or be senior as an FO and drive to work. Of all the stress that this is causing, there is one thing I have found a silver lining in - that I am not a junior CA commuting to indefinite reserve.

This is the boat I chose to get in and I am glad I did; the last thing I need is perpetual reserve on the other side of the country.
