Unfortunately no. They said it was going to happen regardless of what I did. They didn't give me much in the hospital besides that chloroquine anti-malarial drug, but results on that are mixed if it even works. Also, my symptoms didn't warrant an ER visit until day 10ish. During the week it was pretty mild then got really bad in like 24 hours. I guess I was just unlucky in that regard to have developed pneumonia from it.

Glad you're on the mend too.
So if you basically need to be admitted to actually get tested, and most health care providers say stay home and self quarantine if you think you have it, what would we send the company as validation of having it?

No, they’ll put a guppy or Fifi on that route. Heck, they’d put an Eclipse jet on that route if they had any.
They need more narrowbodies and less widebodies for the time being. Probably for a long time.
These are desperate times and they call for desperate measures. Not sure I can fault AA for that logic.
