Ya think they should offer them to furloughed XJT pilots who will be future employees for SKYW. Good way to start off with the XJT employees JA.

Not so sure that's true, but we will find out on Monday.

To all furloughed United pilots,

We will be filling two “new hire” classes at SkyWest Airlines in accordance with LOA 03-22 “Job Opportunities for Furloughed United Pilots”. The first is scheduled to start on 8 September 2010 and has 20 positions available. The second is scheduled to start on 20 September 2010 and has 16 positions available. These are FO positions in the Brasilia (EMB120) at second year CRJ 700 pay. Positions for the 8 September class will be filled in seniority order based on a furloughed pilot’s preference indicated by their submitted FCOL Preference form on file as of 1200 CDT Tuesday, 17 August 2010. Positions for the 20 September class will be filled in seniority order based on a furloughed pilot’s preference indicated by their submitted FCOL Preference form on file as of 1200 CDT Tuesday, 24 August 2010. If you are interested in an opportunity with SkyWest flying the Brasilia (EMB120) and you have previously submitted an FCOL Preference form indicating a preference to work at SkyWest or “First Available”, there is no need to submit a new FCOL Preference form, unless you wish to change your preference or contact information. If you have NOT submitted an FCOL Preference form, logon to http://ual.alpa.org, click on the “Furlough” pull down, and then on “Jobs”, scroll down the Jobs page to get to the information about LOA 03-22, click on the link titled “Online Interactive FCOL Preference form” to submit the form electronically. Once submitted you will receive an e-mail confirmation at your e-mail on file with ALPA.

Please utilize the information available on the “Jobs” page to answer most of your questions concerning LOA 03-22 and the process. I will be posting information about SkyWest as it becomes available. Questions concerning this job offer received by e-mail or phone will be answered time permitting. If possible, discuss taking this job offer with your spouse or significant other, so if you are called with the offer you will have already made your decision.

Thanks for posting that, when did you get that email? The poolie email indicates 2 classes of 20, Aug. 30th and Sep. 13th. So your email is indicating different dates, which means one of two things: Either the Sep 8th/20th classes are in addition to the poolie classes, or the poolie class dates have been changed since the poolie email was sent (Aug 11th) and are being offered to UAL furloughees first....

And what is the text of LOA 03-22?

Inside scoop is that there might be two classes for UAL and two for poolies, so four classes total. Staffing would certainly support this now, and that's not counting whoever gets hired at DAL.

Great news. Do UAL furloughees have to surrender the UAL seniority number if they accept the Skywest position?

No, that's part of the deal arranged by UAL.
