People can cry all they want, contract 2018 still works for me just fine.....my family and I have enjoyed the fruits of that 43%, as have all of our pilots.

If you want to complain, don’t complain about the 43% increase, complain we would only get 43 pilots to show up to picketing events.

According to JM during his recurrent ground school stop, over 750 flights a day by July/August. Also said “the operation will be crew constrained this summer.”

February 2021? 2 whole months?

Honest question, why apply to Spirit now vs the pre pandemic windows when we were hiring?

Not trying to bust chops but if I were screening applications, anyone who was applying pre pandemic would get a leg up on those now. Spirit has always made it clear it wants people who want to be here, not just when it’s convenient.

Again, not trying to attack you. Just wondering how many in this new stack are from people who now realize Spirit might be a great career option

Realistically? There could have been a lot of reasons. Up until the new contract in 2018 the pilot group was actively discouraging people to come to NK. And truthfully, before the contract it was considerably less desirable. But I think the COVID pandemic actually did convince a lot of people about the viability of the ULCC model in hard times. And I do believe that the Union-management agreement to avoid furloughs was industry leading and without it (and PSP) a lot more pilots at other airlines - regionals and major - would have been furloughed, and I think a lot of potential new hires came to realize that.

You can’t blame people for ignorance - everybody starts out that way. Blame those that refuse to learn, not those that did.

I know I didn’t apply until feb 2021 because I was still in the military. I would have done it sooner, but there was no open window when I started working on my app. So blaming everyone that just applied seems short sighted. You need to first figure out why people are just now applying before you make a judgement about them.
