Im hearing the Vegas Strip is close to another shutdown, at least on a rolling basis, and the Luxor and Excalibur may be torn down if it happens.

 

The Luxor and Excalibur are are in desperate need of a make over and the only practical way of doing that is to demo both properties and start over.
The properties are side by side and could be replaced by a much more modern and effective use of the if the property. They’re at the end of their lifespan.

 

That sounds like a whole lot of sour grapes to me. Bigly triggered. If you have no regrets, why would you bash the place constantly? You could be a captain by now, but oh well. I hope you don't get furloughed.

 

I don't think Mntnbikemike is that crazy. he has some good points. First of seniority is in fact EVERYTHING in this industry. And I am VERY junior, BUT a very big truth in this industry is that once you give up something from the contract you will NEVER see it back. I prefer getting furloughed (and I most likely will) and come back 1-2 years later to a company (with a CBA) I actually did want to work for in the first place rather than give concessions and loose rules/benefits forever and work for a company with rules that I never wanted. I made my decision of coming here based mainly on the CBA we have any (significantly negative) amendment to that might make me regret my decision.

 

Get real and look in the mirror. Your the one that came in here starting this BS. My first post in this thread made ZERO mention of Allegiant until you start running your mouth about how I regret not being a Captain and leaving. You don’t know me. And you seem to take people speaking the truth about their time at Allegiant personally. Why?

As for Captain - Of the 4 people left from my class, one guy got it (the only dude to chase it). He got ABE and is has since been rescinded indefinitely. Zero clue when/if that’s happening for him now.

If Allegiant works for you and like it, that’s great man. Truly. I didn’t enjoy it and neither did most of my class. A contract that is blatantly ignored, schedules that completely sucked, HDMW (just kidding! You can drop now) and a slew of other BS was not something I was going to tolerate.

All I can tell you is this. Until you have left and spent time at any other legacy/major that isn’t Allegiant, trust me (or don’t) when I say you don’t know what you don’t know. 100%. It becomes incredibly clear when you leave.

Again, if your a lifer there then good for you and I’m glad you found a career place. Truly. People need to find a place that works for them. It didn’t work for me and that’s okay.

 

I'm not going to say anything about you beating up on Allegiant, I know they deserve it. Yes this place is better, but honestly you've drank so much kool-aid here your eyes are turning yellow and blinding you to reality. Don't be fooled all Spirit cares about is their bottom line, not yours, they aren't your friend and don't care about you. That doesn't mean you can't like it here, but take off the yellow colored glasses and see it for what it is.

 

No, I really haven’t man. I value my schedule and QOL. Since having a line (only did 4 months on reserve) I have done basically everything I’ve wanted to do each and every single month. I have a lot of things outside of work and even a side business. This is why I’ve come here and it’s worked out terrifically for me.

 

This is every airline out there, ask even the folks at huggable lovable SWA and they will tell you the exact same thing.
