I don't think reserve at DL as bad as it is at Spirit though.

It’s all long call, with a handful of short call escalations per month. Usually goes senior in bases like DTW and so on because it’s not a bad deal when you can drive to work.

Going to 70% day trips, this won’t help attrition

Not 70% day trips, 70% out and backs. Could be from any overnight. But with that being said 1 and 2 day trips will definitely increase.

They also said less 4 days…..not going to attract many commuters now.

Where is this from?

Welcome to Allegiant ladies and gents

And IF/WHEN this place ever actually merges, you really think the “new Spirit/Frontier” at 450+ airframe and 1,000+ daily flights is going to be 70% 1-2 days? Get real. The larger you get the less you can legitimately pull that off.

Also, as IAmEssential pointed out, it’s worlded very poorly. I suspect you’ll See a lot more 3 leg day 1s with a turn aka “out and back” then one leg to an overnight. Or a 2 leg a day 2 day with a flight to FL then to another “hub” If you will.

You should probably wait a few months to see how this even shakes out before losing your minds. Management loves to talk. Amazing how well run the op is with the new IROP DEFCON system now! Incredible…

Even if I had to get 3-4 hotels more a month my life is immensely better here than Allegiant (where I worked) and who has a base where I live.

Now cue all the usual DBs to tell me I drink the kool-aid. 🥱

This is exactly what’s been happening at F9 for a good while now. Definitely far fewer 4-days for the most part, except in ORD, and we all know where that’s headed.

Size has nothing to do with it. Jetblue runs about 1,000 flights/day, most hub turns that touch NYC and BOS. They could absolutely run 70% one-day trips if they wanted to. I’ve seen in my domicile well over 50% day trips, usually it settles around 35%. If the network is built for it and your contract allows it, it doesn’t matter if you’re big or small.
