So best go to somewhere where FOs can make a great living as well and not needing an upgrade to have a rewarding career.

No it isn’t. It isn’t about when they “hire their last upgrade,” it’s when they hire to the point where making a move to AA doesn’t make as much sense. There is a huge difference on the front of a hiring wave where you can see wide body CA in your career vs the middle where you won’t, or the end where you will end up a narrow body CA with marginal seniority.

I hope people don’t think AS hiring the next 5 years means wide body CA slots the next 5 years.

At the hiring even I went too, the AA guy said the if hired in the next two years, you can expect WB CA in 10 years. Granted this was a recruiting event, but he certainly made it seem like 2 years was the number.

LOL, I that's what they told us in the 90's also. WB captain with a huge pension to retire on......That and the pilot shortage, which didn't hit until this year apparently.

Spirit will tell you that you’ll make more at spirit than Delta. Must be true also.

Hence why I included "it was a recruiting event". I am fully aware they skew numbers to suit their intended goals, but they are turning over about 6000 pilots between 2020 and 2027, maybe more. There is movement there for sure although all we would need is 65 to change to 67 and things change a bit.
